One advantage that KPJ has over its
competitors is its own intrapreneurial
pharmaceutical procurement arm.
Deriving the benefits from the economics
of scale, Pharmaserve Alliances Sdn Bhd
(“Pharmaserve”) has been providing to
KPJ hospitals in Malaysia necessary
medication and pharmaceutical products
at competitive rates. Pharmaserve
stores are strategically located near to
the KPJ hospitals so as to ensure timely
and efficient delivery of orders.

customers and the communities we

designed to bring more value to patients
and customers – while also sustainably
driving industry growth.
Among these strategies were the
Corporate Client Management (CCM)
which active consulting, such as training
and lead generation for the respective
hospitals. Additionally, CCM actively
collaborates with KPJ hospitals to
identify new service areas and assist in
developing promotions directed to their
corporate client.
In the year under review, CCM underwent
a regional restructuring, by assigning
each CCM member to support a
respective region namely the Klang
Valley region, the Northern, Eastern &
East Malaysia region and the Southern
region. This serves to create a formidable
front for KPJ, where the local teams and
CCM are focussed on expanding the
Group’s reach beyond conventional
boundaries.
Insurance companies and Managed Care
Organisations (MCOs) are important
business partners that contributed
significantly in part of KPJ’s Malaysian

under review, KPJ engaged with key
corporate clients on various initiatives.
These include regularly conducting Basic
Health Screening events and health
talks at our corporate clients’ premises,
which have been found to be the best
approach to promoting and creating
health awareness among our corporate
clients.

China on 8 June 2015. This was
undertaken alongside six KPJ Hospitals,
