We have upgraded our
KPJ Clinical Information System
(“KCIS”)
by introducing new clinical integrated
functions to enhance the
Electronic Medical Record
(“EMR”)
for multi-services such as Paediatric, O&G,
Rehabilitation, Dialysis, Risk Management, Incident
Reporting and many more services
Apart from these and other
enhancements to our hospital
facilities, KPJ improved outpatient
services to better serve our
patients. The services include
comprehensive audiology and
speech therapy services, dental
services at our KPJ KL Dental
Specialist Centre, rehabilitation
services, wellness programmes
and IVF services.
Additionally, KPJ Pusat Pakar Mata
Centre For Sight at KPJ Tawakkal has
been equipped with the latest technology
in laser vision correction, with other
opthamology services available at its
two other branches in Rawang and
Petaling Jaya.
In addition to providing patients with
cutting-edge medical facilities, KPJ made
vital investments in IT and other internal
processes to further drive excellence
within the Group.
These include the establishment of our
Cloud-based KPJ Data Centre, making us
the first healthcare provider in Malaysia
to adopt Cloud computing in our
hospitals. We have upgraded our KPJ
clinical information system (“KCIS”) by
introducing new clinical integrated
functions to enhance the Electronic
Medical Record (“EMR”) for multi-
services such as Paediatric, O&G,
R e h a b i l i t a t i o n , D i a l y s i s , R i s k
Management, Incident Reporting and
many more services. KCIS was further
surveyed by Healthcare Information and
Management Systems Society (HIMSS)
leading to KPJ being awarded the HIMSS
EMR Analytics Adoption at Stage 5.2, an
achievement to be the 2nd hospital in
Malaysia reaching Stage 6. These
enhancements to our processes enhance
the system capabilities, allow us to
optimise our efficiency, and will elevate
our effectiveness as healthcare providers
who put our patient care as our first
priority.
At the heart of these efforts is our
commitment to providing the highest
level of service to our patients. This has
been f u r t he r bo l s t e r ed b y t he
introduction of our Standard People
Practice a few years prior, which ensures
we uphold exemplary levels of patient
care with a strong emphasis on quality.
