YB Dato’ Sri Rohani Abdul Karim, the Minister of Women, Family and Community
Development officially launched KPJ Tawakkal Health Centre (THC), KPJ’s new
ambulatory care centre on 11 August 2015. THC houses several niche services,
namely an aged care facility, specialist dental services, a comprehensive
rehabilitation centre, haemodialysis services and eye specialists.
KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital (KPJ Johor) introduced its latest model PET/CT scanner for
its modern Nuclear Centre on 5 November 2015 to enable the provision of increasingly
speedy and precise diagnosis. This achievement has made KPJ Johor among the first
private specialist hospitals in the Southern Region to offer this service. The event was
officiated by YB Datuk Haji Ayub bin Rahmat, Chairman of the Johor Health,
Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee.
On 19 October 2015, KPJ launched a month-long eye health campaign in
conjunction with World Sight Day (WSD) 2015, officiated by YB Senator
Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and
Community Development, at the KPJ Pusat Pakar Mata Centre for Sight
(PPMCFS) Kuala Lumpur. KPJ offered a special package for eye screening
and basic cataract (monofocal) treatment for an entire month.
On 29 October 2015, KPJ Healthcare
Berhad was recognised as the Grand
Winner under Employer of Choice category
of the Malaysia HR Awards in 2015,
surpassing more than 100 other
companies vying for the same award. This
internationally-recognised award is one of
the highest achievement for companies in
Malaysia. It highlights KPJ’s sustained and
continuous commitment in talent
management.
KPJ embarked on RM8 million sponsorship for
100 of KPJUC’s Diploma in Nursing students and
30 students undertaken the Bachelor of Nursing,
in the form of tuition fees, accommodation, living
and book allowances to ensure a sustainable
talent pool in the healthcare industry which shall
benefit both KPJ and the nation.
