Eric Sim Kam Seng, aged 47, head the
portfolio as Chief Information Officer
(CIO) of KPJ Healthcare Berhad. His
primary project on spearheading KPJ
Clinical Information System (KCIS) and
his success story has brought him the
new challenge of being the new CIO to
lead the entire Corporate IT, manage 5
IT divisions and govern IT services at
respective KPJ hospitals.
He holds a Master in Business

Management graduated from Asia
e-University, Malaysia. He has other
qualifications in Business Management,
C o m p u t e r S c i e n c e , F i n a n c i a l
Management and Electrical Engineering
with such rich knowledge, skills and
experience that will bring great
contribution to deliver business
computing in KPJ for the next 10 years.
He led 65 staff at the corporate level
with 5 divisions; home-grown HITS
software development, strategic
operation, infrastructure and security,
continue to deliver a greater milestone
by refining the IT blueprint. His strategy
and efforts to continue implementing a
standardised “One KPJIT” network by
emphasising on cloud solutions and
platform, create a balance between
technology advancement and deliver
better outcome to drive KPJ business
and its branding. He has huge role and
responsibilities in aligning clinical and IT
governance, simplify and re-engineer
p r oce s s e s t h r ough I T s t r a t eg i c
transformation by addressing some of
the IT issue such as evangelise the
benefits of cloud computing and mobile
services, the power of digital business,
transform traditional silos ideas,
accelerate deployment of cybersecurity
and improve customer engagement
through product and services that may
possibly, create new revenue streams.
Dr. Mubbashir Iftikhar Bhatti

Dr. Mubbashir Iftikhar, aged 45, is in
charge of developing KPJ’s new products
and services. He graduated with a MBBS
from the University of Punjab in Lahore,
Pakistan. He also completed training in
macro economics as well as computer
science.
He oversees the innovative alignment
between the needs of the business and
s t akeho l de r s i n an i nc r eas i ng l y
digitalised market.
Before taking on this portfolio in 2016,
Dr. Mubbashir served as KPJ’s Chief
Information Officer (“CIO”) from 2011 to
2015. Some of the key projects he
worked on were Cloud Enablement, KPJ
Clinical Information System (KCIS),
Picture Archiving and Communication
Systems (PACS) and Web Portals.
