Aminudin Dawam, age 52, was appointed
to the Board as Non-Independent Non-
Executive Director on 1 January 2014.
With effect from 1 May 2015, he was re-
designated as an Executive Director of
the Company. He is also a member of the
KPJ Board Tender Committee and
Building Committee. He join Johor
Corporation in September 2013 and
currently is the Senior Vice President,
Business Development Division.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business
Administration (in Finance) from Sam
Houston State University, Huntsville,
Texas, USA in 1986 and completed his
Masters’ degree at the same university in
1988. He obtained Post-Graduate
Diploma in Health Sciences & Hospital
Management at South Bank University,
London, United Kingdom in 1997.
He joined Johor Corporation after
graduation in 1988 before joining KPJ in
1992 as Operations Manager of
Pharmacare Sdn Bhd for two years. Later
he has managed various hospitals within
the KPJ Group as the General Manager.
He is also has been appointed as the
Commissioning Director for United
Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He later
was appointed as the Group General
Manager of KPJ Healthcare from 2008 till
2011.
From 2011 till 2013, he joined Pantai
Holding Berhad as the Group Chief
Operating
Officer
overseeing
the
operations of both Pantai and Gleneagles
hospitals. He then rejoined Johor
Corporation and KPJ in 2013.
Aminudin also sits in a number of Board
and committees in the Johor Corporation/
KPJ Group of companies, either as a
member or chairman. Among others, he is
a member of the Johor Corporation’s
Internal Audit Committee and Chairman
of the Audit Committee of Tanjung
Langsat Port, as well as Chairman of the
Tender Board Committee for the Johor
Land Berhad and Tanjung Langsat Port.
