Further to KPJ’s earlier announcement dated 12 November 2010 and 13 January 2011, in relation to Point Zone’s ICP/IMTN Programme, on behalf of the Board of Directors of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, Affin Investment Bank Berhad ("Affin Investment") wishes to announce the issuance of Point Zone’s ICP/IMTN Programme on even date.

The ICP/IMTN Programme agreement has been signed with Affin Investment as the Principal Adviser/Lead Arranger which allows the proceeds from the ICP/IMTN Programme to repay KPJ’s existing CP/MTN Programme and to finance the expansion of KPJ Group’s healthcare and healthcare related business. The tenure of the ICP/IMTN Programme is up to seven (7) years from the date of the first issuance of the ICP/ IMTN.

Rating Agency Malaysia Berhad has assigned a short term and long term rating of P1(s) and AA3(s) for the ICP/ IMTN Programme as at January 2011. The AA3(s) rating indicates high safety for payment of financial obligations while the P1(s) rating reflects high safety for payment of financial obligations in the short term. The rating is premised on an unconditional and irrevocable guarantee from KPJ.
