We refer to the letter dated 19 June 2007 from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities")pertaining to the above news article appearing in the New Straits Times, Biznews, on page 43 on Tuesday, 19 June 2007, in particular, the following sentence:-

"….The KPJ Healthcare Bhd ….revenue will exceed the RM1 billion mark next year…."
"We expect to record a revenue of RM1 billion this year, and will exceed that by 2008..."

We wish to clarify that the above statement should have been reported as an internal management targeted goal by the KPJ Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2007 and not for financial year ending 31 December 2008.

The RM1 billion targeted revenue is purely an internal revenue target set after taking into consideration the existing operating beds and additional operating beds from existing and new hospitals under the KPJ Group. It also takes into consideration the effects of the additional number of medical consultants within the KPJ Group. We wish to emphasize that the internal target is not an estimate, forecast or projection and has not been audited or reviewed by the external auditors of the Company.

This announcement is dated 21 June 2007.
