PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
The healthcare personal work together to provide appropriate
solutions to ensure best practices, resulting in quality patient
care and service, using various improvement techniques. Using
a variety of improvement techniques, these include:
• 5S Philosophy: A process and method for creating and
maintaining an organised, safe, clean and high performance
workplace.
• Lean Management: A systematic method for the elimination
of waste within a system. It also takes into account waste
created through overburden and waste created through
unevenness in work loads.
• Other improvement techniques and tools being used
include PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, and Act), RCA (Root Cause
Analysis) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
