The Group’s hospitals in Indonesia continued to make good
progress in 2015, turning in a 31.0% hike in revenue to
RM52.0 million from RM39.7 million previously. This increase
in revenue was mainly attributable to the revenue contributed
by RS Medika Permata Hijau and improvement at RS Medika
Bumi Serpong Damai during the financial year.
The Aged care facility services segment recorded revenue of
40.3 million in 2015, some 11.3% higher than 2014’s revenue
of RM36.2 million.
Revenue from Others segment improved by 2.8% to
RM43.4 million in 2015 from RM42.2 million previously.
Others category comprised of hospital services in Thailand and
Bangladesh, KPJUC, support companies involving the sale of
hospital merchandise and other similar activities. The increase
in revenue is mainly contributed by higher revenue from
KPJUC.

GROUP FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS
We are pleased to report that the Group turned in a healthy
7.9% growth in revenue to RM2.8 billion in 2015 in comparison
to revenue of RM2.6 billion in 2014. This is, KPJ’s highest
revenue to date, comes on the back of organic growth as well
as an increase in income from capacity expansion of existing
hospitals.
The Group’s profit before zakat and tax (PBZT) registered a
3.9% decrease to RM209.6 million as compared to a PBZT of
RM218.1 million in the preceding year.
For 2015, the Group registered a slightly decrease of net
profit, 1.4% to RM145.1 million as compared to net profit of
RM147.2 million in the previous year.
SEGMENTAL FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS
The bulk of the Group’s 2015 revenue was derived from the
Malaysian operations which contributed 95.2% of total revenue.
Revenue from local operations rose 7.6% year-on-year (YoY) to
RM2.7 billion from RM2.521 billion previously on the back of
higher revenue from existing hospitals.
