We, Kamaruzzaman bin Abu Kassim and Datin Paduka Siti Sa’diah Sh Bakir, two of the Directors of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, state that, in the opinion of the Directors, the fnancial statements set out on pages 106 to 173 are drawn up so as to give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Group and the Company as at 31 December 2010 and of the results and the cash fows of the Group and the Company for the fnancial year ended on that date in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 1965 and MASB Approved Accounting Standards in Malaysia for Entities Other than Private Entities.

The information set out in Note 43 to the fnancial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Guidance on Special Matter No.1, Determination of Realised and Unrealised Profts or Losses in the Context of Disclosure Pursuant to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Listing Requirements, as issued by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

I, Lee Swee Hee, the Chief Financial Offcer, primarily responsible for the fnancial management of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, do solemnly and sincerely declare that the fnancial statements set out on pages 106 to 173 are, in my opinion, correct and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declarations Act, 1960.
